Site C viewpoint

Visit the Site C viewpoint

The Site C viewpoint is now open on the north bank of the Peace River above the dam site. This viewpoint gives visitors an opportunity to watch Site C construction activities from a safe distance. It includes the following features:

Culture and Heritage Resources Committee

Our engagement efforts include working with Indigenous Nations to find ways to mitigate impacts to culture and to advance reconciliation.

One way we're doing this is through the Culture and Heritage Resources Committee. It brings together members from B.C. and Alberta communities impacted by Site C to discuss mitigation measures for impacts to culture and heritage resources. Representatives oversee and participate in initiatives that showcase the unique culture of Indigenous Nations in the Peace River Valley.

Mental Health Support Resources

Are you feeling burned out, stressed or tired? Need some support? You're not alone.

This section is meant to be a resource for individuals seeking help. Below are links to contact information for mental health, addiction, and other support services offered through Site C contractors and/or their unions, as well as other public and private resources available to individuals in British Columbia and Alberta.

Community Recreation Site Fund

Funding for developing new or enhancing existing recreation sites along the Site C Reservoir.

The Community Recreation Site Fund was established by BC Hydro to mitigate impacts of the Site C Clean Energy Project on recreation sites along the Peace River and its tributaries, outside the dam site and reservoir area.

Right Bank Foundation Enhancements

Once built, Site C will be a source of clean, reliable and affordable electricity in B.C. for more than 100 years. The engineering process that has been followed throughout the entire project is consistent with international best practices and the highest safety standards and has been reviewed by the independent Site C Technical Advisory Board.

We're implementing safety measures, reviewed and endorsed by two international experts, to ensure the right bank structures are safe over the long operating life of Site C.
