BC Hydro notified of four positive COVID-19 cases
BC Hydro has been notified that four contractor workers on the Site C project have tested positive for COVID-19.

The latest employment statistics show that there were 4,944 total workers on the Site C project in September 2020. Of the total workers, 3,547 were from British Columbia, or 72%. There were 1,006 workers on site from the Peace River Regional District that's 24% of the construction and non-construction contractors' workforce.
Huge eagle nests relocated near Site C project
At our Site C project near Fort St. John, a dam and generating station aren’t the only structures being built. We’re also building around 40 new eagle nesting platforms near the shoreline of the future reservoir. The nesting platforms will provide additional nesting options for bald eagles in the area. Our crews have built similar structures for other birds of prey, including ospreys, in other communities across the province.

The latest employment statistics show that there were 4,645 total workers on the Site C project in July 2020. Of the total workers, 3,398 were from British Columbia, or 73%. There were 863 workers on site from the Peace River Regional District — that's 22% of the construction and non-construction contractor's workforce.

The May workforce numbers reflect BC Hydro’s March 18 decision to scale back construction activites on the Site C dam site, as well as the May 14 announcement to safely and gradually begin increasing construction activities at the dam site.
