Construction of the Site C Clean Energy Project has been underway for 60 days. Construction crews have been clearing trees and vegetation at the dam site, building access roads at the dam site, upgrading public roads and preparing the site for construction of a 1,600-person worker camp.
A new Abacus Data poll shows strong levels of support for BC Hydro’s Site C Clean Energy Project, a hydroelectric dam and generating station on the Peace River in northeast B.C.
The scope of the work includes upgrades to three roads, located about two kilometres south of Fort St. John.
The BC Building Trades and BC Hydro have secured an agreement on the importance of labour stability on the Site C project.
