Public advisory: Boaters advised to use caution on Peace River
BC Hydro is advising boaters to use caution on the Peace River.
During clearing of debris at Site C, some debris has loosened and moved downstream past the booms.
For the next 24 hours, boaters are advised to be aware of debris hazards and use caution.
Due to Site C construction, the Peace River around the dam site is now permanently closed to boat traffic.
