Site C Employment Statistics - July 2022

Our latest employment statistics show there were 5,414 total workers on the Site C project in July 2022. Of the total workers, 3,647 were from British Columbia, or 67 per cent. There were 1,017 workers on site from the Peace River Regional District – that's 21 per cent of the construction and non-construction contractor’s workforce.

Public advisory: Construction begins on new D.A. Thomas recreation site in Hudson’s Hope
Starting early June and continuing through to the end of October, we’ll be building the new D.A. Thomas recreation site in Hudson’s Hope and upgrading D.A. Thomas Road. 
Indigenous partnership leads to new conservation officer at Site C
Treaty 8 First Nations, the B.C. Conservation Officer Service and BC Hydro have partnered to create a new conservation officer position to protect wildlife and the land around the Site C dam and future reservoir area.
12 Peace Region agricultural projects approved for funding
The BC Hydro Peace Agricultural Compensation Fund board of directors has approved $383,714 in grant funding to support agricultural production and related economic activity in the Peace Region.
